Isn't this the part where I get fired?

Fact 1: Not only am I an avid blogger, but I am an avid blogger who likes to speak really personally about myself and others in my life, though rarely mentioning their full names.
Fact 2: I started my CNN internship in NY today.
Put those two facts together, and according to this article, along with several other occurrences in the past such as a Jessica Cutler, Daniel Finney, and Michael Hanscom, and there should be no surprise that I will soon be the latest victim or dumbass to be fired for posting to the entire world the inner workings of an organization.

It is a little bit ironic that a news station labelled "the most trusted name in news" and known for its investigative and truth-telling capabilities might limit such openness from one of their employees, unpaid at that. So is this the part where I either test CNN at its word or I stick it to the man upstairs, whoever he may be, by posting as much as I can possibly remember throughout my day? As much as I am tempted to, I will not. Even I am smart enough to know that I will take the safe route, for this internship has landed me a once in a lifetime opportunity, and anything that jeopardize my experience is out the door.

I will say, however, that the first day on the job was a great experience. Everyone there, from anchors to producers, news assistants to directors were some of the most nicest and helpful people to me. When I looked like no one was talking to me, they were there. When I had a question, they answered it without complaint. As seen from the CNN tours that are given, it is true inside as well that they are equally professional and have the ability to have fun. There is also no surprise that when showtime is on, there is an enormous amount of work that goes into it, excitement and chaos that happens during it, and relief and accomplishment afterwards. And whenever they have shots happening in NY (Snow, Velshi, Shneider and Cafferty), I am literally about 10 feet away from them, and chances of seeing me tine the background are bound to happen for the latter two.

I'm Just Looking for the Truth
I know everyone may be getting sick and tired of global warming, but what is the deal here? What exact are young Republicans trying to prove by mocking what is possibly a very serious issue? I am not well versed enough to go into the details of global warming,a nd this post might possibly get a few conservative comments, but please, I welcome them. I welcome tons of emails, IMs, and comments, anonymous or not, regarding global warming. Is it real? Is it a hoax? How is anyone sure? If no one is sure, shoudln't we be on the safe side? Because if the conservatives are right, then yay, party on dude! We risked a few bad years of fears on something that wasn't there. But if the liberals are right, then we die. I think I'd rather listen to what the liberals have to say, so that I don't die. That is basically my reasoning on this issue.

So I Can't Drive, Eh?
I have often been made fun of by people all over the place for not having the ability to drive. And there is some fact to this claim. Even though I do have my driver's license, I honestly believe that I got it through flirting. When the tester has to use the passenger-side brake on you and reprimands you three times in 2 minutes, that has to be a bad sign, right? Add to the fact that I didn't know how to pump gas till 2 years later, drove an SUV with the lights off and the emergency brake on for 5 minutes while picking up drunk girls for police escorts, and accidentally opening the hood when thinking it was the emergency brake, I am a pretty bad driver. But I owe it to two things. One - I've used the subway system my entire life. Two - I am poor and cannot own a car, and my parent's car is too busted for me to practice safely. So I was inhibited by exterior forces. But according to this article, I may not be the only one who is that bad at driving, as it claims that 1 in 11 drivers would fail the licensing exam. While everyone screams I KNEW IT, pointing to the driver beside them, I wonder if it is you. The following is a list of the nation's best drivers to the worst drivers. New York is among the bottom, before NJ, Massachusetts, DC, and Rhode Island. Oregon and Washington State are in the lead. The list utterly baffles me for it is in those states that I have seen the best driving because they are under the worse conditions. I know for a fact that Georgia drivers are disgustingly horrible. The ones near the top can never have accidents because there is nothing to hit, except maybe a cactus or a puddle if they are lucky enough. The only ranking that I believe is California, for they spend half their time on the road. Driving on the road? That's another issue.

Ashamed that You are Christian
Anti-gay Christian groups protest outside funerals of dead Marines because they believe that deaths in Iraq is God's punishment for America's tolerance of gays. While doing this, they hold up signs saying "God Hates Fags" and "Thank God for IED"s. I do not have much to comment on, unless there is an email, comment, or any other form of communication that reaches me in which you would support this disgrace. Otherwise, I'd rather let you read the article, do more research on it, and drop our heads in shame at the nerve of some people.
